Today Doug McKelway arrogantly refused to apologize for threatening gay blogger Mike Rogers yesterday, asking for a tight shot of his remarks.

Perhaps one of the largest missteps in the No on Prop 8 campaign was not letting the LGBT community nor its allies engage in a “get to know us” dialogue through advertising and in the media. The new video below is a wonderful example of that dialogue in action, where our friends and families come together to send a message of tolerance and equality.
The video promotes an upcoming LGBT event called Pink Dot. You’ve probably not heard of the event because its all the way across the Pacific… in Singapore. While the event is thousands of miles away, it doesn’t make it any less moving, or any less relevant. Please watch….

Bea Arthur has lost a long battle with cancer at 86. An icon in the gay community, she is famous for her stage, television and film roles, but is best known for her work as the title character in the 70s sitcom Maude and later as one of the Golden Girls.

I’ve been doing video of right wing nutbags for a long time, but this one was the most disturbing event I’ve ever attended. The rotting racist rabid rump of Republicanism has been reduced to a twitching crowd of paranoids. I got harassed away by a growing mob of jackasses, some of whom are in this video. I tried to get the police to stop them, to no avail. After about a half hour of these thugs chasing me around the event, I just left. I’m sure they’ll show up here in comments to harass some more. But I got some stuff on camera, and now it’s on Youtube, because that’s how I roll.
