In an obvious nod to U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, the National Organization for Marriage has released a new ad attacking her Republican opponent Tom Campbell and incumbent Democrat Barabara Boxer. The ad attacks Campbell and Boxer for being too liberal and for being against Prop 8. Watch:
Fiorina voted in favor of Proposition 8 in 2008. When she announced her bid for Boxer’s seat last November, Fiorina reiterated her stance against gay marriage saying she “believes in the sanctity of a marriage between a man and a woman.” Fiorina has been relatively quiet on the issue since.
A-list bigots, religious zealots and rightwing hypocrites are holding a meet and greet at the Values Voter Summit 2009 in Washington D.C. this week. Everyone from Rep. Michelle Bachman to actor-turned-minister Stephen Baldwin are on hand to rally conservatives against the teaming hoards that threaten the very fabric of this nation: the gays, the liberals, and one black president.
In the clip below Maggie Gallagher of the National Organization for Marriage introduces pro-opposite marriage darling and almost-Miss California Carrie Prejean.
Okay… some one fetch me a bucket. Next up, Carrie Prejean.
Intolerant? And the crocodile tears? Oh please make the pablum stop!
In what few would consider a fair fight, Sirius XM host Mike Signorile took on National Organization for Marriage (NOM) executive director Brian Brown, making short work of Brown’s feeble, empty-headed arguments.
It’s truly amazing that characters like Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown are able to keep NOM afloat considering how ineffective they are in defending positions which fail under the mildest of scrutiny. Just take a look back at some of Brown’s earlier work on Penn & Teller’s Bullsh!t.
Another embarrassing ad has come out of NOM’s video dungeon this week fighting gay marriage legislation in New York, leveraging the same old and entirely debunked arguments. As for the teachable moment, note the word “marriage” in the final frame of the video below.
With an ad this important to their cause you would think they’d fix it… right? Teachable moment #2.
As in “Same Same Sex Marriage?” And just so we’re clear…

I don’t think the teachable moment here is gay marriage. I think it’s spelling and grammar.
